Boluwaji was shot dead by bandits who stormed the Okuta Elerinla police station around 1 a.m.
According to a reliable police source, the bandits came looking for arms and ammunition to steal for other planned operations.
"About six of the gunmen came to the station around 1am when they thought the officers on duty would be weak or sleeping, and they scaled through the fence to overpower the officers on duty," the source said.
