Pep Guardiola's City have won the Premier League four times in the last five seasons, while Jurgen Klopp's Reds have won it once.

City strengthened their side with the signings of Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips, while Liverpool brought in Darwin Nunez to replace Sadio Mane, and it appears that these two sides will be the ones to catch once more in 2022-23.

Chelsea:

With no main central striker in the Chelsea squad, Tuchel may well use a more flexible front three with the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and Christian Pulisic available to call upon. Chelsea was top of the table at one point during the previous season, but their form declined in the second half of the campaign.

Tottenham:

With the addition of players from last season's roster, some may view the north London club as the favorites to crack the top two, as Conte has won top-flight championships with Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan.

Arsenal:

Arsenal is the side with the youngest average age, so another year of experience should serve them well. Boss Arteta put his trust in youth last season, and it paid off.

Manchester United:

Erik ten Hag, a former Ajax manager, will take on the responsibility of trying to turn around the fortunes of a fallen giant this season, which will commemorate ten years since Manchester United last won the Premier League.
