World Cup 2022 Info: Dates, confirmed draw, Fixtures, Key Dates For Finals

Next weekend marks the start of the main event, bringing the Qatar World Cup in 2022 closer than ever.

While Spain and Germany will play a number of intriguing matches this winter, England will compete in the group stage against the United States, Iran, and Wales.

World Cup 2022 Kick off Dates for finals

The first game of the tournament, between Qatar and Ecuador, will take place on Sunday, November 20.

The USA will play Wales on Monday, November 21, and Senegal, the AFCON champion, will play the Netherlands. England will then play Iran in the tournament's second game.

 After the first two days, there will be four games played each day until the group stage concludes on Friday, December 2.

On Saturday, December 3, the first of the elimination matches will then begin.

On Sunday, December 18, the championship will be place at the 80,000-seat Lusail Iconic Stadium.

20 November: The World Cup begins.

The first matchup was supposed to be Senegal vs. Netherlands, but FIFA switched it to Qatar vs. Ecuador in the middle of August.

The modification followed a long-standing custom of having the hosts or current champions play first.
