PDP crisis| Atiku, Wike: Governors To Intervene To Settle The Rift

Following the feud between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, governors elected on the party's platform decided to intervene in the squabble yesterday.

Last Thursday, Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State visited Governor Wike in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to appease the latter.

Fintiri, the chairman of the reconciliation committee, has stated that the committee will achieve the desired result for the party's success ahead of the 2023 elections.

He also stated that Nigerians will not forgive the PDP if it fails to produce the next President, citing the rudderless nature of the Nigerian state under APC.

A source close to the meeting told Vanguard that the PDP governors will meet this week in Adamawa State to resolve the long-running feud between Atiku and Wike.
