Is The ASUU Strike Suspended? Details Of The Outcome Of The Meeting With FG

Nigerian students enrolled in public universities must continue their studies at home while their partners go to private universities.

This is so since there was no agreement reached at the ASUU and government meeting on August 16.

Among other things, the lecturers' organization is asking for N1.1 trillion in cash for university regeneration.

On Tuesday, August 16, there was a meeting between the federal government and the ASUU leadership, but once again there was no resolution.

The six-month-old lecturers' strike at public universities is therefore likely to continue, according to this indication.

ASUU leadership and the Federal Government met on Tuesday, but no agreement was achieved.

According to Channels TV, the union met with the Professor Nimi Briggs Committee on Tuesday at the National University Commission (NUC) in Abuja in an effort to resolve the impasse.

The Briggs renegotiation committee members reportedly did not put out any new recommendations, according to a senior ASUU member whose identity was concealed.
